Bronwen Smith

Bronwen grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon, where she developed a love for volleyball at a young age. While she participated in many sports throughout her childhood, volleyball quickly became her true passion and remained her primary focus through high school. After graduating, she began her coaching journey by coaching elementary school volleyball for two seasons. 

In 2015, Bronwen and her family moved to Leduc, Alberta, where she joined the Leduc Ladies Volleyball League. She has continued to play as a setter on the same team ever since. 

Bronwen returned to coaching in 2017 with a local junior high girls’ school volleyball team, where she coached for five seasons. 

Over the past five years, she has been involved in coaching club volleyball, taking one season off to support her oldest daughter during her first year of university. 

Bronwen is excited to be back on the bench, continuing to develop athletes and share her love of the game. This will be her third-year coaching with ACE.
