There are various ways for athletes to be identified and considered for an ACE team. The most important thing  for an athlete to do, is be proactive. If you want to be part of ACE, take the first step and contact us. ​

1) Open Gyms

Starting June 1st and running through November, ACE will be hosting where athletes can visit our training facilities, meet the coaches, see how practices are run and ask questions about the club programs. This is particularly important for athletes in the 16U, 17U and 18U division as there are no firm tryouts dates. Offers can be given to athletes in these age divisions starting June 17-June 30 as per Volleyball Alberta rules and regulations.

2) 12U, 13U, 14U & 15U Tryouts (Winter) & 16U, 17U, & 18U Tryouts (Winter)

Always refer to the homepage for the most up to date information and to register. Tryouts for our 12U-15U teams will be taking place the week of November 26th, 2023 (ALBERTA).  BC Tryout weeks will be posted after VBC provides the clubs this information. Information and registration link will be posted on the homepage.​

Tryout & EARLY SIGNING Process (ALBERTA)

We always want to make sure that athletes choose a club that is a great fit for them. To ensure they have made the best decision for the coming year, we encourage athletes to explore multiple opportunities prior to signing with a club. Only by signing the Volleyball Alberta Letter of Intent (LOI) on or after the Signing Dates, is an athlete officially committed to a club team.

U13-U18 Early Signing Process

RETURNING Athletes competing U16-U18 age categories:

• Are allowed to re-sign VA offers May 29-June 5 2023

​

NEW Athletes competing U16-U18 age categories:​

• Are allowed to early sign VA offers June 17-30 2023

​​

RETURNING Athletes competing U13-U15 age categories:​

• Are allowed to re-sign VA offers November 1-6 2023

​

U12-U18 Tryout Process

The selection of our 12U, 13U & 14U team is done by tryout. Tryouts will take place the week of November 26th, 2023.

NEW Athletes competing U13-U15 age categories:

​

• Are not allowed to sign VA offers before November 28th, 2023

• Must attend tryouts taking place the week of November 28th, 2023

• Signing Period: Week of November 28th, 2023​

• 12U/Grade 5 & 6 - Athletes born from September 1, 2011 to December 31, 2013 

• 13U/Grade 7 - Athletes born from September 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011 

• 14U/Grade 8 - Athletes born from September 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010 

• 15U/Grade 9 - Athletes born from September 1, 2008 to December 31, 2009 

• 16U/Grade 10 - Athletes born from September 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008 

• 17U/Grade 11 - Athletes born from September 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007 

• 18U/Grade 12 - Athletes born from September 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006
