

Train to Compete Program
Age: Grade 6 - 8 Female
Looking to improve your Volleyball skills? Looking to learn to play Volleyball? Didn’t make a club team this season?
Ace Volleyball Club in partnership with the Langley Secondary School Thunderbirds Volleyball coaching staff is excited introduce the 2026 ‘Train to Compete’ program. The program is for any female players in grades 6-8 who want to learn to play Volleyball or further develop their Volleyball skills.
Sessions 1-6 will focus on the fundamentals of forearm and overhead passing (setting), hitting (arm swing and footwork), serving (overhead), defensive movement, positions and transitions. Sessions 7-9 will focus on game play. Session 10 will consist of individual and team skill challenges as teams compete in the ‘Vollolympics’. Athletes need not have experience in competitive Volleyball to attend. All levels are welcome.
The sessions will be held on Tuesdays as follows:
Program 1 (Max 30)
Grades 6 and Grade 7 (Beginners) – 3:30-5pm
Program 2 (Max 30)
Grade 7 and 8 (Advanced/Experienced) – 5 - 6:30pm
