Erica started playing volleyball at the age of 7 with the atom program in Cochrane.  She started playing club at 11 for the Cochrane Jaguars. She continued playing club through her U18 season.  While she was playing in her U17 season, she began coaching as an assistant coach with the Ace Silver U14 team. She continued being the Assistant coach for the U15 group the following season as well.
