Emma Neave

Emma Neave is excited to join the ACE Cochrane Chapter. Emma has been playing volleyball since her first U13 club season back in 2016, building a strong passion for the sport along the way. She is excited to now share that passion with a new generation of athletes and help them develop both as volleyball players and as people. Emma believes that sport is about much more than what happens on the court. Through her own experiences as an athlete, she has seen the confidence, friendships, resilience, teamwork and sense of accomplishment that sport can build. As a coach, she hopes to create a fun, positive and supportive environment where athletes can challenge themselves, make mistakes and develop a genuine love for the game. Emma is currently studying Anthropology with a minor in Historical Studies at the University of Calgary. Outside of volleyball, sport and fitness are still a big part of her life. She is a busy training triathlete and also enjoys a much calmer yoga class with her best friend when she gets the chance! Originally from Somerset, England, Emma has called Cochrane home for many years. A graduate of Bow Valley High School, she has spent countless summers enjoying Mackay's ice cream, Canada Days at Mitford Park, and bike rides and runs along the Bow River. She is proud to call Cochrane home and is excited to give back to the community through ACE.
