Makayla had first played volleyball in the 6th grade and never looked back, continuing all the way through high school. She was very fortunate to play for ACE throughout her U16-U18 seasons as a setter. As a former ACE athlete, she was recruited to play NCAA Division II volleyball at the University of Findlay, giving her firsthand experience with the dedication, discipline, communication, and teamwork required to compete at a high level. After taking a couple years away from the sport following university to focus on furthering her education and working towards her doctorate, Makayla is extremely excited to return to the court in a coaching role.

Makayla is passionate about helping athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and grow as players both on and off the court. She focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment where athletes feel encouraged to challenge themselves, learn from their mistakes, and continuously improve. Drawing from her experience as a setter, she places a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, decision-making, and developing a strong understanding of the game.

Above all, Makayla is committed to helping each athlete reach their potential and achieve their goals while growing a genuine passion for the game.
