Alyssa Rose

U16 Ace Of Diamonds Burgundy
(Head Coach)

It all started in Red Deer Lake School, a small K to 9 school just west of Calgary, with an overall population of about 400 kids. Alyssa never knew the love she would have for volleyball until she made her very first volleyball team ever in Grade 6. She instantly fell in love with the game and knew it was something she would stick with for as long as she could. Her first club season was played with Canada West Volleyball Club at u14. She was an Ace athlete for the last 5 years of her club career, playing for them from u15-u18, even getting the chance to play u18 twice. This year is Alyssa’s first year officially coaching for Ace Volleyball Club. During her years of attending All Saints High School, she played on the Senior Varsity Volleyball team from grades 10 through 12. In her grade 10 year, her team brought home the gold medal in the City Final Championship!

Alyssa has a growth mindset when it comes to teaching young athletes in volleyball. She strives to improve her player’s physical game by teaching them proper technique and ways of executing their skills, while continuing to further their mental game by increasing their volleyball IQ and teaching them important mental components of volleyball. She understands that a great coach is someone to look up to during the season, someone to rely on, and someone who will push you past your limits when you don’t think you have anything left in the tank. Alyssa’s goal is to be this type of coach for all her athletes and be a person that they can trust, learn from and rely on during the season. Alyssa’s focus is to better her athletes in all aspects throughout the season. She is a strong believer that ‘you play how you practice’, so it won’t be easy, but winning is never easy. Alyssa is very excited to continue her volleyball career through coaching, learning as she goes, and helping our future athletes become the best version of themselves in sport. Alyssa is beyond grateful to continue to be a part of this amazing Ace Volleyball Family and to achieve new levels during this season.
