Matt is passionate about volleyball and considers himself a lifelong learner and student of the game. With a successful track record in coaching both club and senior high school teams, he emphasizes creating a positive learning environment where high competition is balanced with strong support. Matt’s coaching philosophy centers on developing not just skilled athletes but also well-rounded individuals who can lead, collaborate, and overcome challenges. His favorite part of coaching is witnessing the hard work his players put in during training pay off as they achieve their goals and find success on the court. 

Matt takes particular pride in his role as a mentor, guiding his athletes as they navigate their academic and athletic pursuits. He is dedicated to fostering a belief in his players that together, their potential is unlimited. As he returns as head coach of the Cochrane U16 Ace of Diamonds for the upcoming club season, Matt is excited to pursue ambitious goals for the team and continue shaping the next generation of volleyball talent in Cochrane.
