Jena’s life-long passion for volleyball started at the young age of 10. Since, she has played at the high school and club level, both as a setter and libero, for teams such as Canada West. Throughout, she focused on growing her technical repertoire and love for the sport. Following her club career, Jena immediately began coaching and has never stopped playing. She has over 16 years of combined experience, with the last 5 years at Ace. She was also recruited to the Elite West men’s volleyball coaching mentorship program, bringing fresh perspectives and training methodologies from a multi-national-championship-winning program. Her personal coaching philosophy centres on developing rounded athletes who not only show technical excellence, but commitment to their health, integrity, and self-advocacy. Alongside these credentials, Jena brings an enthusiastic attitude to the high performance program at Ace and you can expect her to work as hard as her athletes to achieve their combined success this season and beyond.
